DPSRU ORIENTATION FOR WORLD CLASS SKILL CENTRE (WCSC) STUDENTS

The orientation programme is an opportunity for any student to learn, how to navigate this campus and will introduce World Class Skill Centre courses such as Beauty and Wellness consultant, Sports Digitalization and Performance Management, Sports Fitness and Yoga Application. Orientation can be used to build a network of resources that will help students and their parents to start their journey in better manner on the right path. Orientation Programme for WCSC students was organized by Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University, on 17th Sept. 2019.

The program started with lamp lightening ceremony by the esteemed dignitaries of the University by Chief Guest Dr. O.P. Shukla, Joint Director, Plg. Branch DTTE, Delhi, Prof. Harvinder Popli, and Prof. Ramesh K. Goyal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, DPSRU, Prof. Harvinder Popli, offg. registrar, DPSRU, Dr. Madhu Gupta, Offg. Chieff Operating officer, DPSRU-WCSC, Mr. Anshul Bagai, Director ASSRM.

Prof. Harvinder Popli shared her view about youth skill and discussed how they can be more progressive. After that, Prof. Ramesh K. Goyal gave the presidential address to the students and shared his vision for the university and world class skill centre concept.

The vision and mission of opening the various world class skill centres in Delhi was shared by Dr. O.P. Shukla. The vision is to provide world class skills to the youth of India by imparting world class training, training technologies and world class physical environment and skill the students at the institute are valued assets of the country who are qualified for global opportunities as well.

The session was continued with the brief introduction and scope of cosmetics in market by Offg. Chief Operating Officer and Beauty and Wellness consultant coordinator, Dr. Madhu Gupta, followed by brief introduction about the course by Sports Digitalization and Performance Management coordinator Mr. Anshul Bagaiand Ms. Disha Vats.

The very knowledgeable session were followed by interactive session for the students where they asked doubts about career opportunities and skills required for the same. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Madhu Gupta, the programme coordinator followed by National anthem.
