CM inaugurates Himalaya Cancer Hospital in Junagadh

Chief Minister of the state Mr. Vijay Rupani inaugurated the Himalaya Cancer Hospital built by the Korat family in Vadal of Junagadh. The hospital has been registered under the World’s Largest Healthcare Scheme – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. During the event, the CM said, “ The hospital is a step towards the realisation of PM Mr. Modi’s vision of affordable healthcare in every district of India.” The CM also talked about the state government’s decision to increase the medical seats to 5400 in medical colleges of Gujarat. Mr. Rupani congratulated Mr. Rajesh Korat for showing dedication towards building South Saurashtra’s First Cancer Hospital and talked about the state government’s resolve to ensure affordable healthcare for the population.

The 160 bed hospital is equipped with modern facilities and will provide free food and accommodation to the patient and their near ones. This state of the art hospital has been constructed with a view providing ultra modern facilities to the local people so that they do not have to travel long distances for the same. Minister of Tourism Mr. Jawahar Chavda appealed one and all in the district to get rid of addictions ( tobacco, alcohol etc) in order to lead a healthy life. M.P of Junagadh Mr. Rajesh Chudasama, M.P of Porbandar Mr. Ramesh Dhaduk, Mayor of Junagadh Mr. Dhirubhai Gohil, Collector Dr. Saurabh Parghi, and a number of senior officials , dignitaries in addition to a large number of people were present during the event.
